Stop Motion Inspiration

Here are some of the stop motion animations that I have been looking at as inspiration for my advert project. Some of them are so amazing and so cleverly done! I absolutely love the collage background in the first one, and the second one is just very quirky and colourful and such a fun idea. The last one is my favourite though. I don't expect my advert to be anything like these, I am studying fashion and have just chosen to attempt to make an animation so I think mine will look very amateur.

This is my favourite one - not at all what I am aiming my advert to be like but I think it is such an amazing idea! It seemed to be a popular choice when I searched for 'stop motion animation' on YouTube. Please watch this one is you if you only watch one!

Day 24

Back to this blog challenge, who knows how many days ago I started the '30 day blog challenge', I will work out once I get to 30 how many actual days it has taken me to complete. Day 24 is another 'whatever tickles your fancy' day so I thought I would post some photos that I have taken when I have been out walking in the past week.

I have been thinking about how much I love living in the countryside. I think it is because I might be on the brink of moving out as I am hoping to, at some point soon, get a job in Edinburgh and then the natural progression would be moving up there. However I know I will always be a country girl at heart. I can't wait to experience living in the middle of a busy city and experience city life since I have lived in a tiny village in the countryside my whole life, a village which has no shop, no pub, no post office...just a village hall and a play park! Me and a few of my friends are organising a walk as a part of our events management class and we went to trial the route this week and as we were walking I realised how much I absolutely love the countryside. I don't mind living in a city for part of my life and I really want to experience living in New York and maybe London too, but whenever and where ever I settle down and ground myself in one place it will most definitely be in the middle of the countryside.

I have loved growing up in a place like this, where I spent my childhood playing outside in fields with hay bales and making dens with my friends in old hollow trees, putting my watch back 10 minutes so that I could stay outside longer at nights. I've absolutely loved it. You can't beat cycling around the country roads on a Summers nights when the sun is setting behind the hills, heading out for a long quiet walk with only the sounds of nature around you or the community spirit that comes out at times like the Summer fete or when we are all snowed in! I am a complete country bumpkin and I would always, ALWAYS rather be in my wellies than heels!

I don't mind still living at home at all. Simply because 'home' and it's surroundings are in such a lovely place. I feel lucky that I can drive to uni from here and return at the end of the day to the same place I have called 'home' for 18 years now. I do get excited about moving out just because it would all be new to me and I have never experienced any of the things that most of my friends have like paying rent and buying food from my own money and earnings. But I will miss it here a lot. I really really will. I hope that one day I will have my own house in somewhere as beautiful as I live just now, I am a country girl at heart and I always will be.

Wednesday Songs

So this week it's 'Wednesday Songs' instead of 'Sunday Songs'. I was obviously a bit busy on Sunday (not that I am not busy now, I am meant to be writing an essay for Friday!?). I also think that on Sunday I hadn't been listening to any new music really, and I posted a music post about Leddra Chapman last Friday. However now, after listening to BBC Radio 2 this morning I have unintentionally found out the singers of all the songs that I have been listening to on the radio recently but never really knew who sang them. It has all kind of fallen into place and now I have a bunch of new songs to listen to. Here is a mix of my new purchases from iTunes and my current radio and Spotify favourites. I have provided a link for the ones that Iwould urge you to have a listen to!

It's Called A Heart - Marli Harwood

Postcards From A Young Man - Manic Street Preachers

Never Gonna Leave This Bed - Maroon 5
